Watching our loved ones pass unexpectedly, fall ill, suffer from extended illnesses or dementia, or no longer be able to care for themselves, is always difficult. Many families, like mine, waited far too long to seek assistance with estate planning or elder law concerns, resulting in limited options, inability to protect their hard-earned savings, homes, possessions, or their wishes not being followed when they are no longer able to make their own decisions or have departed. Those experiences motivated me to become an attorney and help families better understand options to protect their assets and ensure that their wishes will be followed. Graduating magna cum laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul Minnesota, with a certificate in conflict resolution, I focused my studies on elder law, estates and trusts, arbitration and mediation, and contract and business law.
